Candle Making Workshop

Date/Time Location Course facilitator
7 Nov 2021 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM Yaffingale House Wendy - Little Craftery

This workshop covers the basics of candlemaking across a variety of different candle types, and takes you through different styles, wicks and waxes to use. You’ll make and take home at least 8 candles, including moulded pillar candles in different designs, tealights, floating candles, votives and rolled beeswax candles. You can choose your own colours and fragrance. Enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, tea and biscuits, and get stuck into an addictive new hobby!

Suitable for complete beginners, you will be guided through every step by Wendy, owner of The Little Craftery, and life-long crafter. Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome!  Suitable for complete beginners or those with more experience, it’s a nice relaxed and friendly class for a cold winters day.

Wendy will take you through the tools and materials you will need and the basic techniques you will learn.  You’ll be able to choose the colours you would like to use for your final candles, and Wendy will show you every step of the way to creating candles to die for!

What are the design options? When you arrive at your class, you will be given the choice of a few different dyes to use, and several fragrance oils to choose from.  The candle shapes and sizes will remain the same, but the variation in colours you choose can make a difference to the finished look.  Wendy will show you all the techniques you need, to ensure that you make candles to be proud of!
