Friday Night Meeting 17th September 2021

Date/Time Location Course facilitator
17 Sep 2021 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM Goward Hall, Cade Street, Heathfield Paul Lovatt Smith

Our first meeting of the year will be a talk by Paul Lovatt Smith on “Growing your own Bread”. The meeting will be on Friday September 17th at the Goward Hall, Cade Street, Heathfield, TN21 9BU, and will start at 7.30 with the opportunity to have a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit before our speaker starts their talk at 8.00pm. Please enter the hall via the front door not the side door as that is for the badminton club in the main hall.

We have use of the kitchen so we can still provide refreshments. You are also welcome to bring your own drinks, or get a carry out from the Half Moon Pub just up the road. The Pub will also be open for meals before our meeting, should anyone want to dine out. Entry to the hall is from the B2096, there is plenty of parking, and the hall has access for wheelchair users.

We need a volunteer to make the tea and coffee and do the washing up. Please contact Jenny or Cliff  if you can help (01435 862485, jmhuggett@icloud.com).

You will be able to browse our library boxes and select books, videos, DVDs etc to borrow. Please put 50p per item borrowed in the pink pig and write the date, your name and book etc reference number in the log book. When returning items, please ensure that you strike out your details from the log book, this helps Jenny to keep tabs on everything. The money goes towards the purchase of new books, DVDs etc.

As usual, if you have any produce or items for sale (anything such as cakes, eggs, jams and pickles, meat etc) please bring them along and put them on the table by the entrance door.
