Heathfield Show. 28 May 2011

We set up our stand on 27th ready for the show on 28th.  Volunteers are needed for both days, please. Directions to the showground are on the show's website. Maybe it was the freezing cold 35 knot wind that pushed the hardy SFTG shows team towards winning the Heathfield Show's prize for "Best East/West Sussex Exhibit". Or maybe it was all down to meticulous preparation. Whatever, the accolade seemed well deserved to me. Our marquee and trailer were fantastically presented with new poster displays and also a new feature – real living vegetable and herb plants throughout and these brought a fresh touchy/feely vibe. Again at this year's show there was a steady flow of current members coming in to say "hello", and a good number of potential future members asking about how they might take the next step into actually realising their farming plans.
