Grow Your Own Nuts – Free Friday Night Talk

Date/Time Location Course facilitator
17 Jan 2020 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM The Mohair Centre Alexander Hunt - Potash Nut Farm

Our speaker on the 17th January 2020 is the very well know expert on all things nut growing, Alexander Hunt. Alexander owns the thriving Potash Nut Farm in Kent. He will talk about nut trees, growing them, and about nut products that he makes on the farm, and he will bring samples of his wares to sell too. You can read more about this amazing farm at https://www.kentishcobnuts.com/

Our meeting on Friday 17th January 2020 will be at the Mohair Centre starting at 7.30 with the chance for a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit before Alexander starts his talk at 8.00pm. This is a FREE event, but please do register to let us know if you are coming, it’s always helpful to make sure we have the right amount of chairs ready, and of course, enough milk for the tea!

As always, the library boxes will be available to select books, videos, DVDs etc to borrow. Please put 50p per item in the pink pig and write the date, your name and the book reference number in the log book. When returning items, please ensure you strike out your details in the log book this helps Jenny to keep tabs on everything. The money goes towards the purchase of new books.

If you would like to bring along any of your own produce for sale, we would love to see what you have made. Please bring along your produce and put them on the table inside the entrance door, you may wish to add a little bit of information about yourself or your produce – it’s always lovely to read about our local produce and how it was made. A price list is also rather useful to.
