|7 Nov 2021 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM||Yaffingale House||Wendy - Little Craftery|
We are going retro! …… Many of you will remember these the first time round, well, like a pair of flares, they are back in fashion! on this morning workshop you will learn to make gorgeous macrame plant hangers, and meet and mingle with fellow SFTG members. You will take home your own beautiful plant hanger to show off your skills.
This 3 hour workshop is suitable for complete beginners, you will be guided through every step by Wendy, owner of The Little Craftery, and life-long crafter. The skills you will learn in this class are the basic macrame skills you will need for any macrame project. Wendy will take you through the tools and materials you will need and the basic techniques you will learn, and show you every step of the way to creating your plant hanger.
The design you will be taught during the workshop will not vary too much, so everyone will go home with a very similar piece. You will have a choice of 100% cotton cord (which can be dyed at home later), or natural jute twine. Wendy will show you all the techniques you need to be able to create your own designs at home, so the possibilities are varied!
*Please note that this event will be held in a barn, which is neither heated, nor airconditioned, so please dress appropriately. Standard tea and coffee will be served, if you have any special milk requirements, or specific dietary needs please bring your own and we will happily serve it for you. You are welcome to bring your own snacks too. (there are no food options available on site). You are coming to a private home, where there are free range dogs roaming, so please drive carefully as you enter.
