March 2016 Meeting – The Bluebell Railway, Matt Coussins

Date/Time Location Course facilitator
18 Mar 2016 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM The Mohair Centre

Our March meeting will be held on Friday 18th March at the Mohair Centre and will start at 7.30, as usual tea and coffee will be available giving members a chance to chat before our speaker starts at 8.00.

This month we are pleased to have as our speaker Matt Coussins who will be talking about the Bluebell Railway with a brief history of the Lewes to East Grinstead line, why it was built and why it closed and how it became to be preserved. He will also look to the future to see what it holds for the Preservation Society and the Railway Company.

I trust that we have some train enthusiasts amongst our membership, so if we have, do bring along friends or family who would be interested to hear Matt’s talk. I hope that even if trains and all things railway don’t ‘float your boat’ you will come along anyway and enjoy the evening.

The library will be available for you to browse and choose books, videos etc to borrow.

As ever, if you have any produce or items for sale, please bring them along.

On arrival please sign yourselves in as it is important that we know who is present in the event of an emergency.
