Visit to Plaw Hatch Biodynamic Farm and Garden

Date/Time Location Course facilitator
22 Jun 2019 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM Plaw Hatch Farm

Come and see how the vegetables, fruits and herbs are grown biodynamically in the large garden at Plaw Hatch and how livestock are reared on the farm. Learn about biodynamics which is a method of organic farming and gardening that incorporates astrological and spiritual principles and practices. It is an inspirational movement that promotes a holistic approach to organic agriculture and gardening, food and health. Nir Halfon, the Garden Manager at Plaw Hatch is going to tell us what biodynamic farming involves and to show us round the garden and farm. He thinks this will take about an hour and a half.  As we will all make our own way there you will be free after the guided tour to visit the shop where some of the produce is sold and to wander round the farm on your own (they have cows, chicken, pigs and sheep as well as arable)– although as it is 200 acres you won’t be able to do it all! If you would like to car share put a note in the comment box and I will see if there is anyone else who lives close to you who would also like to car share or contact treasurer@sftg.co.uk
