Welcome to our diary of training, information, social and show events
Our free events – mostly Friday evenings once a month – are open to non-members. Most of our training events are for members only and you need to be logged in to make bookings. (The annual fee is a piffling £20 per household! Click on the ‘Membership’ tab above for more.)

We run a huge range of workshops, from cider making to no-dig gardening, from keeping chickens to making peg loom mats. These are small, friendly and informal and focus on countryside skills and crafts. Our workshops are run by all sorts of people, from external tutors who run local businesses, to ‘experts’ (we use the term loosely!) within our own group.
Occasionally there are “meet the member” events hosted at their farms / smallholdings / gardens by people who are happy to share their experience but do not claim to be experts and may also learn something from those attending.
We’re always open to suggestions for events, so please feel free to speak up at a meeting or via the ‘Contact Us’ page. For instance, we are looking for ideas for activities for children or, as we have dubbed them, Small Small Farmers.
