Introduction to Hand Scything

A full day course including lunch which will give you an opportunity to learn how to mow by hand, using the Austrian scythe.  Beth is an experienced scyther and tutor who also sells scythes.  You will learn to set up the scythe to fit your body, a ‘body-friendly’ mowing technique, sharpening and peening (another technique for keeping the blade sharp).
