Ever thought of growing your own wheat to make bread/ Or barley to reduce costs of animal feed? Paul has been growing organic grain (wheat, barley and oats) for 10 years and although still a rank amateur he has some tips which you may find useful. The course will take place at his holding near Hellingly where he will show you this year’s wheat and barley crops and describe the various stages, tools and pitfalls involved. You can even see the Taj Mahal- his Indian-made stationary threshing machine which is the only one in the UK. Instead of the great British Bake-off you could find yourself involved in the Grow-off after this course.
